The National Toxics Network calls on the Australian Government to open up their Waste Export Ban policy for greater stakeholder and community engagement. The Prime Ministers decision to ban Australian waste exports comes with significant local, national and international implications. Yet the Australian government has failed to provide stakeholder engagement commensurate with the scale of the changes proposed and the flow on impacts to our Asia Pacific neighbours.
